Indianapolis, IN. He taught for a year at Notre Dame and returned to teach at Indianapolis and
then to Sacred Heart College at Watertown. In 1935 he was assigned to the missions in
East Bengal (Bangladesh) and taught in high schools in Bandura and Dacca for 10 years.
After World War II, he returned to Notre Dame and prefected a dorm and earned his

scholars there for his unusual mastery of the language. His influence on boys he taught
and counseled was well known by many in Holy Cross and among the lay people he
served.
